Nerd Block Subscription Box Review – April 2014

Nerd Block Subscription Box Review – April

Nerd Block is a monthly subscription box for geeks and gamers. This box typically includes at least a figurine or two, and always a new exclusive shirt. Compared to Loot Crate, I’ve found that Nerd Block seems to have more figurines each month, where Loot Crate seems to have more exclusive items.

Nerd Block Subscription Box Review – April 2014 Tee

Spider Bites T-Shirt – Value $18?

These shirts are typically made with 100% cotton and hold up well through many laundry cycles. (We’ve found the sizing is pretty generous – better than too small!)

Nerd Block Subscription Box Review – April 2014 Rabbits

Rabbids Travel in Time – Value $4.99

NECA Scalers Gremlins Gizmo – Value $5.99

These little scalers attach to your headphone wires. My husband liked this one and I think he just swapped for another one!

Avengers GrabZags Mystery Bag– Value $3

My husband loves pretty much all things Marvel, so he was excited about this little mini mystery item, but hoping for not the skateboard. Oh well!

Nerd Block Subscription Box Review – April 2014 Transformers

Kre-O Transformers Ultimate KREON Collection – Value $13

Bravest Warriors Figure – Value $9

Most Nerd Block subscribers got a Bravest Warriors figure in their box, but 50 lucky subscribers got a signed McFarlane Walking Dead figure instead. (We’re big Walking Dead fans so not getting it was a bit of a disappointment!)

Verdict: This wasn’t our favorite NerdBlock box, but the value of items is good. We paid $29.50 for this box and received about $54 worth of items. In my opinion Nerd Block can really be hit or miss depending on whether or not the characters they include are some of your favorites – but I guess that’s what swapping is for!

The good news for us is that the May NerdBlock will have an exclusive Marvel item, so I’m hoping that box will be a hit!

What did you think of the April Nerd Block box?

  1. I don’t see myself subscribing to this, but I really like the Gizmo scaler. So cute!

  2. My friend subscribes and she got a Freddy Kreuger scaler. Its one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen!
