Yuzen Subscription Box Review – Spring 2014
Yuzen is one of the original eco subscription boxes. It’s a mix of spa, beauty and the occasional food item, and everything is made with natural ingredients.
I’ve been subscribing for over a year now, but this quarter, Yuzen offered to send me this box at no cost for review purposes.
Yuzen has some of the best packaging I’ve seen in subscription boxes. It’s a great box for a gift.
The Subscription Box: Yuzen
The Cost: $33 a quarter
The Products: Eco-friendly products to nourish the body and soul.
Ships to: US only.
Each box comes with a fold out card that details the items and brands features. On each item they also let you know why they chose it for the box.
Acure Radical Resurfacing Facial Treatment – 1 oz Value $14
I always recommend the Acure brand to anyone looking for skincare products that are free of allergens, (or really just anyone interested in natural/organic brands), so I was thrilled to see this item in the box.
I’m used to seeing probiotics in food, not skincare, but I’m excited to give this a try! (It’s supposed to even out skin tone).
The site for buying this candle isn’t up yet, so I’m estimating on the value. The scent is fantastic though. Lemongrass is one of my favorite scents for candles to begin with, plus this candle is made with 100% vegetable wax and no synthetic fragrances!
Balanced Guru Body Balm – 1 oz Value $12
Sranrom Urban Wellness Calm Down Hand Cream – 1.06 oz Value $6?
I think Sranrom is my favorite brand discovery from this box! I love how this lotion moisturizes but dries almost immediately, and again the scent is perfect for me.
Lotus Wei Infinite Love Mist Mini – Value $8
This dark chocolate is made with ethically sourced ingredients, and there’s a poem inside each wrapper!
Sumbody Bathmelt – Value $5.50
Sumbody Sum Fizzer – Value $5.95
I first learned about the Sumbody brand through Birchbox, and after just smelling these bath products I think I’m hooked!
Verdict: If you are looking for a wonderful spa-day subscription, I think it doesn’t get any better than Yuzen. I’ll use every single product in the box this quarter, and as usual I love the curation.
What do you think of the latest Yuzen box?
