Taste Guru Subscription Box Review Dec 2013
Taste Guru is a monthly gluten-free subscription box. I avoid gluten and dairy in my diet, so I personally love this subscription. It’s a great way for me to discover new gluten free brands that I wouldn’t come across on my regular Trader Joe’s grocery shopping trips. (And then I can buy the ones I love in bulk on Amazon!)
The Subscription Box: Taste Guru
The Cost: $39 a month
The Products: 6-8 full-size gluten free products.
Taste Guru recently started added a descriptive card to go with their boxes – I always love this touch.
Oven Baked Organics Gluten Free Pancake Mix – Value $5
Taste Guru included a recipe card for holiday pancakes too!
Fiona’s Natural Foods Cranberry Flax – Value $5
A lot of gluten-free mixes sometimes include dairy in their ingredients, but I was happy to find that this pizza mix is both gluten and dairy free! (I know pizza won’t be the same without cheese on it, but I’m going to try this with some roasted vegetables!0.
Baked Lentil Chips – Value $1.50
Food Should Taste Good Sweet Potato Chips – Value $1.50
These sweet potato chips are very addicting – they didn’t make it very long after this picture was taken!
Southern Mint Tea – Value $1
Just Fruit Bar in Apple Cherry – Value $2
FruitChia Blueberry Blast Bar – Value $2
This Just Fruit Bar was my favorite out of the two bars – I’m trying to cut down on sugar, but I decided that these were OK to enjoy!
This month’s box also included a booklet with coupons for lots of gluten free goodies!
Verdict: I really like that Taste Guru includes a mix of pantry/meal items and snacks. Lots of these brands are new to me, so it’s a great discovery box for me. And it’s just so fun getting a food box and knowing I can eat everything in it!
