Taste Guru Review & Coupon Code - Dec 2013 Gluten Free Subscription

Taste Guru is a monthly gluten-free subscription box. I avoid gluten and dairy in my diet, so I personally love this subscription. It’s a great way for me to discover new gluten free brands that I wouldn’t come across on my regular Trader Joe’s grocery shopping trips. (And then I can buy the ones I love in bulk on Amazon!)

The Subscription Box: Taste Guru

The Cost: $39 a month

The Products: 6-8 full-size gluten free products.

A lot of gluten-free mixes sometimes include dairy in their ingredients, but I was happy to find that this pizza mix is both gluten and dairy free! (I know pizza won’t be the same without cheese on it, but I’m going to try this with some roasted vegetables!0.

Verdict: I really like that Taste Guru includes a mix of pantry/meal items and snacks. Lots of these brands are new to me, so it’s a great discovery box for me. And it’s just so fun getting a food box and knowing I can eat everything in it!

  1. I used to love Taste Guru because of the quality of their products but now I want to cancel and can’t find anywhere on the website to cancel. They have a phone number but never answer. I’ve emailed them twice and don’t hear back. I am about to cancel my credit card just to make them stop charging it!!
Don’t sign up unless you want to be in it for life.

  2. This company is actually turning out to be terrible in my opinion. When you don’t renew your subscription (and you have a month remaining) they send you a TERRILE box. My final box from a 3-month subscription had a total of 3 items: a granola bar, a tiny 4oz bag of chicken stock, and a tiny bag of chips. I could have purchased these items for under $5 total. I would never work with them again if this is how they treat their customers. I felt like I was being punished for not renewing my subscription. When I e-mail customer support I only got a condescending response back as well.

    • The most recent comment is timely given that I just emailed them to not auto renew my box later this month. I thought about waiting until this month’s box came for the reason mentioned above. I will keep you posted if this happens to me. They say you can cancel online but when I put my email in they didn’t recognize it even though I get their emails telling me when my box ships.

    • At LEAST you received your box….poor company to do business with. Never received my last box.

  3. Taste Guru has a special right now on Groupon. One month $12 and 3 months $37.

    • Thanks for this post. I bought it through Groupon now, you have to pay .99 more on the website but for $37.99 for a 3 month supply I think is a pretty good deal to try this sub box. Ive been wanting to try this. I really like what Liz got so hopefully I will get all the good goodies like she has in here reviews. Thanks again for the post.

    • I didi this, they do not send last box (apparently because I didn’t renew!) Groupon did make it right for me though!

  4. I was a little disappointed in the sizes of things. Not worth the full price of the subscriptions, but definitely worth it if you get them on discount (as I did). Family loved the pizza dough. First time we have had pizza in 3 months since going GF. I also liked that it was dairy free and didn’t require eggs (allergic to eggs too). I bought some GF pizza dough mix at the store and my family liked the At The Table Together pizza dough better. Unfortunately, I think I accidentally threw away the card that had the free shipping code on it.

    • it’s free shipping for over $30, you don’t need a code. There is no code on the card.

      • Thank you. I guess I need to order some. Husband said he liked the crust better too.

  5. I also just received my Taste Guru box and I liked it. It has a nice variety of good things to try. I’m using the cranberry flax on my cereal every morning.

    • I’m glad you like it too – the variety is definitely a selling point for me! I’m going to have to try the flax on cereal – sounds good! 🙂
