Ellie Subscription Review & 20% Off Coupon – Dec 2013

Ellie Subscription Review & $10 Coupon - Dec 2013 Pink Bag

Ellie is the original fitness clothing subscription box, and one of my favorite subscriptions in general because of the quality of their clothes. Their site is currently going under a bit of an overhaul in terms of layout and pricing, and I think that in general the changes are good!

Before they had a $49.99 outfit option, or they had limited edition pieces that were $49.99 each. I always wanted to try the limited edition pieces, but hated the price difference, so I’m happy that now the outfit prices range from $49.98 to $99.98. It seems to be a better value if you want to try out the more expensive pieces.

You can pick a single outfit or mix-and-match each month. For December I decided to go with the tank on the left, and the leggings on the right.

Ellie Subscription Review & $10 Coupon - Dec 2013 Laggings

Motivation Legging – Value $79.95 (I paid $29.99 with Club pricing)

I realized that I have a ton of capris thanks to Ellie and Fabletics, but I need more long pants for the winter, so I went with this snakeskin grey legging this month.

Ellie Subscription Review & $10 Coupon - Dec 2013 Detail

I love the print, and it’s the perfect fabric thickness for me too!

Ellie Subscription Review & $10 Coupon - Dec 2013 Rising Tank

Rising Tank – Value $64.95 (I paid $24.99 with Club pricing)

This tank comes with a built in shelf bra and room for removable cups. (They used to send cups with tank tops, but it seems like they stopped). The description of this tank on their site says to “Visit Accessories for free compatible removable cups.” I checked out their Accessories section but see no removable cups, so I’m guessing that’s a site-overhaul issue, and hopefully it will be resolved soon!

Verdict: I paid $54.98 plus $7.95 shipping for this Ellie outfit, and I received nearly $150 worth of workout clothing. The quality of this clothing is fantastic, so I don’t think the retail prices for non-club members are crazy, I’m just glad I don’t have to pay them!

What did you get for your December Ellie outfit?

  1. I have not seen new reviews in the the past few months. Have you stopped subscribing to Ellie?

  2. I’m not happy with the pricing changes. There are fewer options now for getting two pieces for $49.99. Customers are pretty much guaranteed to spend upwards of that every month now. I have a tank and a pair of leggings in my Ellie shopping cart right now, which, in a previous month, would’ve cost me $49.99…it’ll cost me $70 this time. That changes the terms of the membership quite drastically in my opinion.

  3. Overrated

    • I totally agree with you Pilar, I subscribed with them for a few months. I also signed up as a brand ambassador or whatever you want to call it and NEVER got compensated for all the people that signed up under me, matter of fact, I never was compensated for even one person! The girl that reached out to me that got me to sign up was not friendly at all nor helpful after I actually signed up and got all the referrals. She lost that sweet natured attitude quick when it was time to pay up, So……
