Book Riot has just joined Quarterly as one of their newest subscription box contributors!

The Subscription Box: Book Riot

The Cost: $50

The Products: From Book Riot: “The theme of our mailings is The Reading Life. Being a reader is about loving books, but it’s also about a lot more than books. Each of our boxes will contain an awesome book and a bunch of other bookish stuff we love, and that we think you’ll love too.”

Shipping is free to the US. (Canada +$30; rest of world +$40)

What do you think of this new book subscription? I’m pretty curious about what books and other items they will send, and while I’m somewhat addicted to my kindle, it’s nice reading a real book once in a while!

  1. It’s so exciting to see book box subscriptions! I also subscribe to Powell’s Indiespensable book subscription and love it! It’s so much fun to read new novels from new authors (or familiar authors) and break away from my book comfort zone. Now I’m interested to see what shows up in Book Riot’s book subscription. I’ll wait to see what’s in their first box and see if I will subscribe to it.

  2. Will check out Book Riot. Powell’s books offer a book subscription plan for $39.95. The books are also signed by the author, sometimes first edition, and some of the books are more famous authors. Don’t know of any other book subscriptions?

  3. I am really curious about this one as well. I have been waiting for someone to come out with a reading/book box. I signed up for this last week when bookriot sent me an email about their new box. I also subscribe to the Indiespensable program, but I can never seem to get enough books, so we’ll see.

  4. This seems cool but I really want to see what the first box it like before I sub. Cant wait for a review!

  5. I can’t wait to see what this box contains. I am already a subscriber to Powell’s “Indiespensable” which is a box every 6 weeks that contains a signed first edition along with other fun book-ish goodies. This new Book Riot isn’t in my budget until I find a new job, but I’ll definitely sign up as soon as I can.
