Coco Rocha Fancy Box Review – August 2013

Coco Rocha Fancy Box Review - August 2013

The August Coco Rocha Fancy Box showed up at my door looking a little disheveled (this photo captures its best angle), but fortunately everything inside was fine! The only thing that was missing was the cards this month, so I will be doing a little guessing on why Coco picked the items!

Team Coco American Apparel T Shirt – Value $26

This shirt reminded me that I need to watch The Face on Oxygen. I’ve been a fan of ANTM since it started when I was in college, and I’m sure I’ll like The Face too – modeling competition shows are just so much fun to watch!

Calorie Counting Wine Glass – Value $20

This is some of the best packaging I’ve ever seen on a wine glass – I love it! It would make a great gift, except that I wouldn’t want to give anyone a gift that tells them they should be counting calories!

Senhoa Sovana Earrings – Valur $85

These earrings are my favorite item in the box – they are stunningly beautiful, and the story behind the Senhoa brand is even more amazing:

Each Senhoa jewelry piece is individually handcrafted by a survivor of human trafficking or a young woman vulnerable to sexual exploitation. Our passion is to create opportunities for survivor artisans to earn an income, share their stories, and raise awareness against modern slavery.

These are part of the Coco Rocha for Senhoa collection – I love it!

Hair Artist 2 X Hair Chalks – Value $14

I already received these in the June Pink Fancy Box, (and honestly haven’t used them yet), so now I have two sets in mint condition! :)

Verdict: I really love the Coco Rocha Fancy Boxes – and this one might be my favorite box yet! I love that she includes Coco exclusive items in her Fancy Box, and the earrings in this month’s box alone make this box a hit for me! Were you happy with your August Coco Rocha Fancy Box? What was your favorite item?

  1. Coco’s is my favorite box and I definitely love the earrings the most. They’re beautiful and well worth the price of the box. I really enjoy that Coco personalizes the boxes so much with “her” items, like the signed magazine last month and the tees this month. Branding? Yes. But it’s a personal touch and she seems to do an excellent job of marketing herself. I’m brunette so I’m not sure if the hair chalk will work for me, but it’s something I’ve been wanting to try and this way I’m kind of forced to.

  2. the earrings are lovely, but the rest of the box is Meh at best. The t shirt is so indulgent of Coco and reeks of “what are we going to do with all the tshirts we couldnt sell/give away.
I have yet to see a Fancy box I actually “fancy”. Thanks for posting reviews of them and saving me $$$$$!

  3. Love love love the earrings!!

  4. The earrings are gorgeous. Definitely worthy of the box, but I’m not sure about the rest.

  5. I think this is my favorite fancy box ever, now i wish i had subscribed to this one!

  6. If you want to know why Coco picked these items here you go!

    Calorie Counting Wine Glass:
“We’ve all read the studies about how a glass of wine fits snuggly into a healthy balanced diet. Use this glass to regulate what you drink!”

    Coco Tee:
“On The Face last season Team Coco were the underdog but also the most loved team on the show. In fact we had about 70$% of the public support, leaving Team Karolina and Team Naomi to fight for the leftover 30% ;). Show your support for Margaux, Marlee, Stephanie, Britany and of course yours truly by sporting our #TeamCoco Tshirt!”

    Sovanna Earring by Senhoa:
“I was asked to create this capsule jewelry collection with and for the girls at Senhoa. These ladies, some as young as 4 years old, are rescued out of human trafficing in Cambodia and at 16 given a career as jewelry makers. I’m very proud of these girls and the work we are doing in that part of the world. I hope you feel beautiful as you wear my earrings, which were made by the very hands of the women they support.”

    Duo Hair Chalk:
“Create a unique boho look with this easy to use hair chalk-the best part is that you can change it up whenever you want!”

This wasn’t my favorite box. Not really sure what to do about the shirt. Even if I watched The Face, I’m just not a “team” type of person. Really loved the earrings though and the story behind them! The earrings in my opinion makes the box worth it.

    • Thanks for adding the card quotes Judy! And totally agree about the earrings alone making this box worth it!

  7. This was such a great box! I wish Fancy would come out with more high value coupon codes for the people who have never tried them before.
