Blissmo Box Review - Cleaning Favorites - July 2013

Each month Blissmo emails you to let you know the selection window is open to pick which themed box you want to receive that month. For this month’s box, all the deluxe value boxes sold out before I was able to pick my box, so I ended up with this box: Cleaning Favorites. Normally I would be excited about eco-friendly cleaning products (well not super-excited about cleaning products, but pretty pumped about healthy products!), but I’m a full Honest Company convert now, so my eco-friendly cleaning needs are taken care of! Needless to say, I went into opening this box already assuming I wouldn’t be happy with it.

I don’t know if you can tell from this picture, but one of the bottles spilled during shipping. Fortunately besides losing that one mini bottle, nothing was ruined.

The Box: Blissmo Box

The Cost: $19.95 a month plus $4.95 shipping (subscribe for 6-months for free shipping)

The Products: Safer, healthier personal care products and foods

Ecover Dishwashing Liquid – 100 ml (2) Value $1.50

Grab Green Laundry Detergent Pods in Gardenia – (4 pods total) Value $1.30

I’m all about every dish and glass I own being dishwasher safe, but occasionally we come across an awesome piece that is handwash only, so it will be good to have these Ecover dishwashing liquid samples handy. The scent is great too – it’s a mix of lemon and aloe – very clean!

I’m very happy with my Honest Company laundry detergent, but I think I might give this a Grab Green Detergent a try. I normally find laundry detergent scents to be irritating (love that Honest Company is fragrance free), but this Gardenia scent is very nice and derived from essential oils. This Grab Green brand was new to me too, and now I want to try some of their other home products!

Ecos Free and Clear Laundry Detergent – 8 oz total – Value $1

Handmade Soap in Lemongrass – Sample Value $5

The bottle on the left is the source of the leak! I haven’t reached out to Blissmo about the box not arriving completely intact yet – I’m sure they will ship me a replacement Ecos detergent if I want one though.

Method Laundry Packets in Fresh Air – Samples

Clean Well Disinfectant Wipes – Samples

Clean Well All-Natural Hand Sanitizing Wipes – Samples

I love Clean Well wipes – they are all natural and smell amazing. I put these in my purse immediately. It’s always nice to have these on hand when you look down at your desk and realize it needs a quick cleaning!

Bon Ami Powder Cleanser – Value $3

Fit Fruit and Vegetable Wash – Sample

Verdict: This wasn’t my favorite Blissmo Box, but I’ll use the majority of the items, and probably give some of the laundry detergent sample packets to my brother before he goes back to college. Which Blissmo Box did you select for this month? Were you lucky enough to get one of the deluxe value boxes before they sold out?

  1. Just received my first Blissmo Box. It was very sad. I guess it was a beauty box and had 3 items in it. a scrubber a super small carrot soap bar and a honey lemon face mask. I was so disappointed after seeing the pictures of other boxes. They promise $20-$40 worth of items. There is no way this cost that much. I will be canceling if I can get a refund. I paid for the 6 month subscription to save.

  2. I ordered a blissmo box awhile ago, and it was awful. it was the saddest looking box and nothing i would actually use. i complained and was promised another box, which never came. the owner is a liar and completely rude. highly recommend not wasting your time with this company.

  3. I’ve got a lot of Blissmo Box stuff I want to post to swap and I’ve emailed a few times requesting to have it added. Any chance it could be added?
