Birchbox Man Review - July 2013Birchbox Man Review - July 2013

For the July 2013 box, Birchbox Man teamed up with the USA Network show Suits to put together Suits inspired boxes! There were a range of Suits- inspired products you could receive in the July Birchbox Man – everything from collar stays, to wallets, to cufflinks to lapel flowers!

Birchbox Man Review - July 2013

I am definitely impressed with the Suits packaging design this month! My brother has been telling me I need to watch this show, so maybe it’s time to start with the premiere of the 3rd season. (With all my shows on break, my DVR has looking pretty sad this summer).

Since this is a Suits collaboration box, the items selected are definitely more formal than typical boxes. (Check out my reviews of previous Birchbox Man boxes to see what I mean!)

On the flip-side of the Suits card is information on each item in your box. I like that they now have a quick “What,” and “How,” description under each box, letting you know exactly what the product is and how to use it!

Roosevelt Supply Card Case – Value $25

Considering we paid $20 for this box, we’re already ahead with just this item! I’m impressed with the quality and simple design of this card holder – plus it’s 100% leather! I think my boyfriend will probably use this for carrying business cards when he attends conferences, but if he doesn’t I might steal it for myself!

Birchbox Man Review - July 2013

wurkin stiffs Knotz Cufflinks – Value $9.50

GO247 Shampoo – 2 oz Value $3.50

My boyfriend I and I both work at a company with a casual dress code, so I don’ t know when these cufflinks will ever get used. I guess it’s good to have a pair just in case? This shampoo will definitely go to use though – I love that it’s paraben and sulfate free! (This definitely smells like a men’s shampoo though – I won’t be stealing it!)

Acca Kappa Muschio Bianca Cologne – Sample Value $1.50

Baxter of California Assorted Foil Pack Grooming Samples (9 packets) – Value $6

We received the Baxter of California Moisturizer and Shave Balm in the Limited Edition Birchbox Man Handsome and Hungry Box – and my boyfriend likes the products, so I was happy to see he can now try every product in the line!

Birchbox Man Review - July 2013

The Baxter of California sample pack included 9 packets: Invigorating Body Wash (3 varieties: Bergamot and Pear, Flora and Cassis, and Italian Lime and Pomegranate), Daily Face Wash,  Daily Protein Shampoo, Super Close Shave Formula, After Shave Balm, Oil Free Moisturizer, and Facial Scrub. I’m normally not too excited about one-time use foil packets in subscription boxes, but I love that this set lets you sample everything in the Baxter of California line, and it’s great for travel!

Verdict: We paid $20 for the July Birchbox Man and received about $45 worth of product – definitely a great value box! Everything will go to use (with the possible exception of the cufflinks), so this box was a win all around. What did you think of the July Birchbox Man? Are you going to be watching Suits this summer? (Let me know if you recommend the show!)
